Colored Contact Lenses - Get New Eye Colour!

I love color contact lenses. I have probably tried every color you can think of, from different brands. I found that certain colors make my eyes look very pretty, but others are fake or just plain ugly. After much trial and error, I finally figured out how to choose the best color lenses for your eyes.

To start, you should know that color contact lenses can be of two types - opaque lenses and enhancement color contacts. Enhancements colors lenses give you eyes a slightly different hue or make your eyes appear brighter and more sparkling. These lenses are only recommended for people who have light eyes. These lenses look natural because they are partially transparent.

Opaque lenses, on the other hand can dramatically change the appearance of your eyes. These lenses aren't transparent so they are great for dark eyes. Opaque contacts will not work if your natural color is brown. People with dark eyes can choose to wear one or both of these lenses depending on what effect they desire.

Colour contacts for subtle change

Blue or aqua contacts are great for girls with naturally blue eyes. Some may wonder why someone with blue eyes would choose colored lenses. You can see a huge difference in your appearance with blue enhancement lenses. Although your eyes remain blue, they appear brighter and more attractive. My eyes are also blue. I love blue tinted color contacts. My favourite is Acuvue 2 colors, "Ocean Blue".

Blue tints are also very effective for naturally grey eyes. Although it does not appear as intensely blue as overblue, the color looks natural and attractive. Acuvue2 colors and Freshlook Dimensions make the best choices.

Green color contacts work well with grey or blue eyes. It is easy to notice the difference when jade green is mixed into your natural color.

Freshlook Radiance color contacts can be used to make your eyes sparkle. Eden (for either blue or gray eyes) is my favourite color. Sunrise and autumn colors look very interesting over hazel eyes.

Color contact lens for dramatic changes

You will need opaque lenses to change the color of brown eye's eyes. Acuvue2 colors opaque, Freshlook colorblends, or Illusions at Ciba Vision are the best options.

Best colors for women with dark eyes and dark hair are Freshlook Colorblends Sapphire or Amethyst. Your new look will be instantly noticeable and everyone will love it.

Honey color contacts can be used if you have blue or gray eyes. These lenses will make you look warmer. To further enhance this effect, use warm lipsticks and natural colors to make up.

Color contact lens safety

You should already know how to properly care for contact lenses if you are using them to improve your vision. If you want only cosmetic color contacts, talk to your doctor about safe wearing them.

Most important rule is that color contact lenses block oxygen supply to your eyes more then clear prescription contacts. Actually, the color part blocks oxygen from entering. Your eyes should not be exposed to color lenses for more than 6-8 hours per day. Also, you shouldn't sleep in your color lenses.

A pair of color contacts lenses is a great gift lens town idea. Amazing sparkling eyes can change a woman's look. And it is a great fun to wear different color lenses from time to time, so they are excellent for people who like to change their look.
